Spring is here and we have lots of events planned- we just need volunteers to staff them! If you can even spare an hour or two to help with one of these events we would be very grateful.
For the month of March we will be at Petco every Saturday from 12 to 4pm selling raffle tickets and trying to get dogs adopted. If you want to help out with Petco, show up at the shelter at 11:30 and we will match you with an animal to 'showcase' for the day.
We will have an adoption event at Atwoods March 27th from 10 to 4. These events are great, especially for our bigger dogs because we are in the parking lot with outdoor kennels set up. The weather should be beautiful! We have an adoption event at Verizon on Perkins and Hall of Fame on March 28th from 2pm to 4pm. If you want to help with either of these events, show up at the shelter approximately 30 minutes before they begin so you can be matched with a dog or puppy for the day.
We have a poker run fundraiser coming up on March 28th that we will need volunteers for as well.
If you volunteer for an event, you do not have to stay for the duration of the event. If you are coming late or leaving early just let us know. If you want to volunteer for any of these events contact us, but if you don't decide to volunteer until right before don't feel bad about just showing up either!
