Adoption fees

Most of our pets are available for an adoption fee of 50 dollars (covering spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, deworming, Heartworm (dog) or FIV/Feluek (cat) negative, and a two week health guarantee). As anyone who has ever taken a pet to the vet knows, that is a really good deal! Some of our dogs have a higher adoption fee to help with medical costs of animals who need extra care.

Before you say "Wait, that's not fair!", remember that we only charge higher adoption fees for dogs we know will be adopted very quickly (the increased fee does not increase their time spent at the shelter). And what wouldn't be fair is turning away all the sweet animals who need a little special care before they are adoptable.


Rizzo (and her siblings) came to us very neglected and sick. Rizzo has a wonderful life now with a great family. We are so glad we could give her the chance at life she deserved!
